We're not actually going to play twenty questions, that was just a creative header for this page.  What I am going to do is write down some random facts about myself and fill out a survey, which I update about once a month (or two).  You might find this interesting - or it might bore you to death.  Either works.  Oh, and before you ask - no, I have no idea why the header for this page is a picture of two star-crossed squirrels.

Survey:

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 72, and find line 9 up from the bottom.

Door in the Dragon's Throat by Frank Peretti.  "The door was actually beautiful, shining in the..."

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What can you touch?

Some air.  The molecules in said air.

3. When was the last time you watched on TV?

Couple hours ago...  I rewatched the Doctor Who episode "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe."  Beautiful episode, really, and one of my favorites.

4. Without looking, guess what time it is:

2:07 PM

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?

1:42 PM.  Not as close as I normally am, but not awful.

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

"Beyond the Sun" by Shinedown, from their Us and Them album.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

No idea, seeing as we've been snowed in for a while.  I was probably trying not to be blown into a snow heap.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?

A Supernatural fanfic I'm reading on AO3.

9. What are you wearing?

Black Iron Man t-shirt with the arc reactor in the middle, worn-out skinny jeans, no shoes but a band-aid because I hit my foot on a CD rack I was moving.  I have a red hair tie on my wrist and a silver ring with "DREAM ON" written across it...  Don't knock Aerosmith...

10. Did you dream last night?

Yeah.  My swim team was building a house and it burned a la Lawrence, Kansas, 22 Years Ago, but only after my friend Nicole and I had to go rescue a sophomore sprinter who drifted upriver through a den of copperheads and to my grandmother's house, where he was eating applesauce.

11. When did you last laugh?

A couple seconds ago as I watched myself typing that paragraph.

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?

I'm in my bedroom... Any of my friends would tell you that many things are on my walls. They're light blue with lighter blue polka-dots (I like dots). I have a wall of National Geographic posters, three sketches my friend Fido drew me, a paper with some funny quotes on it, the schedule for January meets even though it's February, an Educational Decree (NO MUSIC IS TO BE PLAYED DURING STUDY HOURS ((which means I've got detention with Umbridge)) ), a couple black pieces of paper with colorful stickers on them, a coloring page one of the kids in my crew for VBS drew for me (I was their crew leader), a poster my best friend made for me with a picture of the two of us hugging that says "A hug is like a boomerang...  Always comes back." I have quotes in cool fonts all over the place. I think that's it.

13. Seen anything weird lately?

I looked in the mirror this morning...

14. What are the last three books you read?

1. The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare

2. Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand

3. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

Your feelings on these books are:

1. We're actually in the middle of this for school, and I really like it.  Nerissa has to be my favorite character so far.

2. Um, amazing?  I can't believe this is actually a true story, and if you ever get the chance you should definitely read it. Probably my book of the year for 2014. I can't stop raving about it to anyone who asks.

3. I'm just started this one the other day, but I'm already pretty deep into the plot. Jazz is a likable main character, and you get caught in his predicament easily.  All in all, I like :)

15. What is the last film you saw?

Captain America: The First Avenger

Your feelings on this film are:

Yep.  He's my boy :) seriously, Marvel did a great job with this one. Action, romance (even if it does make me cry), and Chris Evans.  It's perfect!!!  I'm just WAITING for April 4th...  Bucky!

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?

I dunno - chocolate, bubblegum, iPhone 4, TARDIS iPhone 4 case, songs on iTunes, food, food for kids in Africa, bubble wrap (has many uses), more bubblegum, Doctor Who T-shirt, Merlin neckerchief, 1967 black Chevy Impala, more songs on iTunes, a Macbook, things on Etsy, a pineapple, a new screen door (current one held together with duct tape), duct tape (for current screen door).

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know:

...I secretly wish I would run into some Vashta Nerada in my local library.  Or some sort of vengeful spirit, at least.

18. Turn on your iPod. What song is on?

"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" by Fall Out Boy.

Your feelings on this song are:

4/5. Cool beat, catchy, makes me want to go bang on a drum or kill a person.

19. Do you like to dance?

It depends on your definition of dance. I stand in a more or less upright position and move my arms and legs around in ungainly ways and generally make a fool of myself - I don't know if you can call that dancing...

20. Hit shuffle on your iPod. What are the first three songs that come up?

"Feeling Sorry" by Paramore, "Welcome to Paradise" by Green Day, "Evil Angel" by Breaking Benjamin.

21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?

Tabitha Claire. Preferably her last name would somehow end up being Winchester.

22. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?

Daniel Adam. Not named after Adam Milligan, per se, but totally named after Adam Milligan.
